Qualifying territories

The geographic scope of a Cité des Métiers is variable. It corresponds in principle to the territory where the supporting structure or the key partners have legitimacy.

Different configurations are thus possible, depending on the type of structure concerned :

• City,
• Region,
• Grouping of local authorities,
• Consular structure (Chamber of Trade and Commerce or of Agriculture),
• or any other structure.

When the Cité des Métiers deals with a large territory, it may complement the main site with several secondary sites or a network of associated centresto provide all the inhabitants with local resources and refer them as needed to the closest Cité des Métiers site or the relevant partners.
